Container Scrappage Scheme Launched
Thursday, 21st January 2010
Following the success of the vehicle scrappage scheme Bullmans have today launched a similar promotion for shipping containers.
Although a good condition used box will last for years we have found that many customers have bought equipment from companies in the past that has not met their expectations. In other cases they may have old shabby containers on their site they are looking to upgrade or put up for sale.
Another situation many people find themselves in is that their needs have grown and they now need more from their box such as a personnel door, windows, lighting or insulation. These container conversions cannot always be carried out on-site and swapping the unit out may make economical sense.
In the current financial climate businesses are seeing a survival of the fittest with an increase in acquisitions and mergers. Quite often companies and individuals are finding themselves landed with equipment they have little or no use for, or in some cases which need updating to fall more in line with their own corporate brand image.
With storage space in the U.K being at a premium the logistics of squeezing another container in is not always possible without first making room. When having a new box delivered by crane mounted transport why not have your old box picked up and taken away? The cost for this can be off-set against the purchase price providing a significant saving.
Some green credentials may be earned by having scrap containers sent away for recycling in addition to getting rid of leaking or unsightly equipment.
